And because they can make gobs and gobs of money charging people not only when they buy it, but for the entire time they play it. It's a brilliant scam, really, especially since whenever someone points out that this is really a ripoff they can always say that rhey really do have to pay for bandwidth and the like. Doesn't explain the other $11.50 a person a month, but it's something.

Doubt it, unless the game gets heavy competition and needs a price reduce. In that case, they'll probably just reduce the cost of the game and not the per-month cost.

Damn I've gone blind tonight :wtf:

Anyways I was afraid of that. Never will I pay $50 for a game that I then have to pay per month to play it. Now if it had offline playablity and then charged to play online, I'd be fine with that.

But some how I don't think a game exists that is worth Est. $80 for just three-four months worth of enjoyment. :rolleyes:

For design, perhaps something along the lines of one of the webpages I made for a Darkspace fleet(even tho it sucks)

What it'll need is just a division list, a roster, a temp constitution page(that'll consist of rules and whatnot), and whatever else you can think of.

[edit] here's a quickie logo that i made up from screenshots and a little Photoshop editting, not happy with this either but if you can make it look good in a website use it if you want

MEH, they should make it like Darkspace. Free d/l + free trial (can fly in small scouts for an unlimited amount of time) but it costs 10$ a month to play in the big ships and to gain rank.
