I saw something a while back talking about the AI which tells a fighter or bomber which secondaries to use, and whether that could be adapted for primaries. Is this off the ground? I mean, good-primary-time would be a start, but what would be useful is if use of primaries and secondaries where governed by flags.

Thus, weapons tagged as 'fighter' or 'bomber' would cause the AI to fire certain weapons (weapons would be tagged 'fighter', for example), and other targets would attract the use of non-fighter weapons. Though pehaps the AI should be allowed to use its non-anti-fighter guns against enemy fighters if, say, its main anti-fighter guns run out of ammo...

And another thing - AI ships don't use dumbfires, right? Could this be fixed? I want to make a 'freefall' bomb, essentially a dumbfire Cyclops, and the AI bombers need to be able to use it... ;7
