err... well english is a variant of indo-european languages so it's related to german/french/whatever but it's not really a germanic language as such
Science alone of all the subjects contains within itself the lesson of the danger of belief in the infallibility of the greatest teachers in the preceding generation . . .Learn from science that you must doubt the experts. Actually

This guy's completely right. Bombastic racism is in now.

If there was any doubt that this is true, the fact that any ape who pours a bottle of French wine down the gutter will get featured in the news is plenty enough to dispel it. Never mind the "First Iraq, Next France" sloganeering.

The thing that interests me is thinking of how the history books are gonna handle this. I mean, really- in twenty years, how will the country be able to look back on itself and take itself seriously? Fifty years from now, will history lessons conveniently gloss this over, try to justify it, or will our grandkids be getting lessons in "The Great Stupidity of Ought-Three"?:D

wiiierd... didn't know they categorised it that way...

I really think history books will conveniently ignore things... notice that the US (a rebellious part of a nation that refused to pay taxes...) is shown blatantly as a "good" cause in history books (or at least in those dumb childrens stuffs, maybe not so much in "higher" education). Also Abraham Lincoln is shown as some sort of highly ethical person.. hmm

Imagine Bush's big-eared, sad puppy face being preserved in the name of a hero who killed the evil Saddam regime in future children's picture history books... :shaking:

I'm still curious as to what greasy food and freedom have to do with each other.

Or is this just one of those things that sounds clever until you realize it was really poorly thought out?

If I'd have been there for that meeting I would have laughed so hard I would have puked on them all.
