I'm trying to get LODding to work using TS2 with my own Freespace2 modelJust one or two questions
I've set up the file hierarchy so that it is identical to the atmospheric shuttle in the Babylon 5 tutorial (One master group (Detail0), with a main mesh called Body, and several sub groups, for each LOD and piece of Debris - if I had debris yet, with a loclight as a terminator in each case). I'm only using 2 models and no jets, I just want to see the damn thing work once, then I'll start worrying about extras.
Do all the LODs and Debris need to be in the file before it will compile in COB2POF?
Also, how important are the naming conventions, cos if you put 'detail0' in truespace2, it changes it to 'detail', and 'detail1' becomes 'detail,1' etc

(
I noticed in the tutorial that the lights to designate the end of a detail were 127,127,127 RGB. Is this a flag colour or not important?
I noticed that the atmospheric shuttle tutorial, while viewable to 3DExplorer is not loadable in TS2, obviously a later format, but that concerns me, it means later COB files were made differently

(
And last, but not least, do the other scene lights (outside the groups) have ANY effect on compiling, or are they simply ignored?
Any hints would be appreciated, and thanks for the help so far!

) Mebbe someone could be kind enough to Email me a COB model that's lodded and TS2 compatible, then I could take a look and see how it's done?
