If you want use to copy and paste the link, use the [ url ] tags, not the [ img ] tags.

in case of emergency, administer caffeine to the artist,

Also fatter. Might as well use full-color GIFs half the time.

And, ah... good. Low-poly, and midrange Photoshop JPEG compression would do it better justice (Photoshop does it extremely well, there's hardly any fidelity loss at all and you can trim something that size down to about 20k), but good.

Thanks a lot. :D Yes they are F-22's and they were the highest poly models I could find for free (from Janes USAF). The missle was done with a particle spray and particle combustion. I got the maverick from 3d cafe.
EDIT: Actually I am planning to attempt to make my own F-22 model.

Try making the new XF-35 Joint Strike Fighter that several countries are working with the US in developing. It is said to have VTOL technology like the Harrier's.

Not to mention extrremely expensive that the US government decided it was not cost efffective to produce them at all.

It's really just the U.S. (and maybe England also) that's working on this puppy. And it is a VTOL. There was a show on the JSF battle between Boeing and Lockheed Martin on the History Channel not to long ago, I don't know if anyone saw it. Anyway, LM won out, and now we're gonna get a bunch of shiny new F-35s. The only thing I don't really like about it is that it doesn't have supercruise like the F-22 does. You need afterburners to go over Mach 1.

And nice render btw. It's cool.
Wash: This landing's gonna get pretty interesting.
Mal: Define "interesting".
Wash: *shrug* "Oh God, oh God, we're all gonna die"?
Mal: This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then... explode.

  • What is this? I don't even...
Its a good start I think.
The missile could use at least a light at the back colored orange or something to give it the look of flame.
The light color on the planes seems.... wrong to me.. I dunno.. too greyish for the color of the light in the rest of it.

I also read in the papers that the US is considering replacing its existing fleet of older fighters from the F-14s all the way to the F-18s with the F-35 when there are enough to replace the entire fleet or gradually. Is it really that good?

Use more antialiasing (sp) and sharpen it up a bit.
Use higher res than 640*480 and make a better sky background. It is too pixelated. More lighting could also do a trick. The fighetrs look like they are hanging in the air. Adding motion blur could really add it to an effect. Additional model smoothing and perhaps bumping would make it even better.
Anyways, thats what I would do.
