refresh rate != scan rate
refresh rate is the rate at which it actually responds to changes in the singal which the video card is sending - and flat panels are disgustingly slow - and they have the ~16-bit color depth **** going on
Very assertive of you, but please think a little. Where did I mention
dangerous radiation? And you can hardly assume that nothing is going to come out of a cathode ray tube pointing right at your face.
I think you may have only read the first half of my message - I specifically mentioned exactly what I was referring to refresh rates and all that stuff. CRT monitors flash at you, TFTs don't. Simple as that. It's a lot healthier on your eyes to sit in front of something that isn't flashing like a strobe, especially over long periods of time like I, and I assume you, do.
