Old, unused unit.

Generals is massively fun...works on my old system...and very well too.  I prefer a group of Paladin tanks, a couple of Pathfinders in Humvee's and a large group of Tomahawk launchers.  Tomahawks take down clusters of Overlords like crazy.  This guy sent a collum of tanks at me and with sufficient Paladin tank support, my Tomahawks whupped em good! :D

do not torment the sleep deprived artist, he may be vicious when cornered,
in case of emergency, administer caffeine to the artist,
he will become docile after that,
and less likely to stab you in the eye with a mechanical pencil

I have the game but it runs a bit laggy. Need a better 3D graphics card.

The Commanches are great but have very weak armor.

I was watching Die Another Day and the laser from the Icarus satelite reminded me of the Particle Beam in Generals. Guess somebody copied from someone.

  • I'm a magic man, I've got magic hands.
:doubt:

The Beam in CnC comes from the Uplink Base. and besides, The Icarus from Die Another Day was just an upgrade from Goldeneye, or It a rip off of the Star Wars program.

Arguably, Someone who didn't think of any of those could've just seen a Mjolnir while playing Freespace and Wanted to use it in DAD.

Somebody did copy :D

Speaking of James Bond and copies, isn't it weird how the existance of the last Bond Movie with Connery is more or less denied because its almost exactly like Thuderball (I think) ? At least it seems like it. It's not in any of the books or on DVD or on movie I don't think.

Ground Control, yes. Marry me?

All I have to say is that Generals is not in the best of taste at the moment.

It's a lot like RedAlert2 involving the destruction of the Pentagon.

But you have to remember both games were designed prior to either event accuring. that's sort of like Spider Man removing the scene showing the Twin Towers because it might upset ppl.... to a point it's a good gesture,... but then again where does one draw a line ? If we start having our games become politically correct,... we're not going to have many games we'll want to spend money on and play.

well, in RA2 you were to destroy the twin towers too. But damn, it's just a game with no political bias, who cares?
