They aren`t shivan. Just red. MG is set in Sol so the Terrans have done things slightly differently there

Well, ya never know, the GTA might have been secretly developing the Herc Mk2 before the cut off from Sol, and had the hull design complete but mechanical issues hadn't been sorted out... yeah...thats it...
