As some of you may be fans of a few various comic publications (marvel, DC, Image etc) i was just wondering what do you think of universe crossovers ?

Aliens Vs Predator is allowed since they are actually from the same universe. Everything else is just a blantant rip off designed to part a fool and his money.

i saw a X-Men + Spiderman cartoon the other day, but then again thats almost believable (in the whole same kinda genre sense)

yeah, and it's all set in the 'marvelverse' y'see, i seen a few like that with wolverine and the hulk...

crossovers a plenty in marvel comics but at least they're all from the same universe.. as with the others... two universes meet each other in completely implauseable situations..

funny how for some reason it dosn't 'normally' fall to the same fate as sci-fi cross over say FS2/SW

that's because it usually doesn't work very well - it would raise waaaay too many questions and may cause a civil war amongst the geeks.. Take these 'crossover questions' for example..

I'll make a few up
"could the borg assimilate shivans?"
"would a lightsaber work against borg shields?"
"how effective would the enterprise-E be against a hectate class destroyer with full fighte compliment"
"Would the Tardis fit in the shuttlebay?"
