2124
Ilum unites the people of the middle east and some parts of Asia putting an end to ongoing hostilities in the region. He forms a Federation called the Ilum Believers. Many believers are influenced by the fact of his slow aging. When he first began his campaign, he claimed he was 30 years old, while he looked more like 20. In this year, he would be 18 years older at age 48, but still only looks like he's in his mid twenties. Scientists can rule out that he was genetically modified by the aging-gene drug since he would have been born a year before the announcement of the gene's discovery or 21 years before the drug came on the market.

2125
Ilum invades Turkey to seize the land for the Kurds. The EU is reluctant to interfere as Turkey opted out of the Union. The UN attempts to end the conflict diplomatically, while the Xian Empire remains neutral. Turkey falls to the might of the Ilum and is forced to grant the land to Kurdistan. Ilum takes government control of Turkey.

The vessel is capable of Earth orbit to Lunar orbit trips and holds a compliment of 200 crew and passengers. This is the first tourism space vessel to use artificial-gravity deck plating.

2134
A schedule window opens up on the Orbital Elevator for the Xian to begin the Mars Terraforming Project. Construction of four 125km diametre Solar mirrors begin, which will be converted into microwave power stations after the terraforming is complete. The mirrors could provide tens of terrawatts of power continuously(?).

Far too rushed in the 21st century. Also, the Moon's name is Luna, not Lunar; just like Earth's name is Terra, not Terran. The idea of a 'space race' with China to jump-start NASA again is a good one, though

Earth is..... Earth.  Calling it Terra alway seemed rather pretentious, at least when you're dealing with relatively close-to-current times.  Do astronauts talk about low earth orbit or low terran orbit?

Nuke war eh? Nah, don't see that happen.

Reasons:

a) IF anyone uses a nuke it'll be the criminal states/terrorists. If that happens they will be flattened by allied forces and they don't need nukes to do so.
b) We have enough alternative weapons (Also see point a)
c). I doubt any nation that has as many nukes needed to wipe us all out is as stupid to fire 'm all.... :doubt:

radiation poising is perfectly natural. :)

now, if you were to be.. say thrown off an over pass by a 800 pound gorilla into a busy highway and run over 230 times before someone stopped and looked by the time you were 23, that might be less natural.

Funny ass movie! :D

I doubt there'll ever be a nuclear war. But there WILL be a nuclear incident! No doubt one nuke will be used by some terrorist or liberation movement or some smaller nation trying to make a point. But that of course will cause their inevitable destruction by "alternate" means.

Otherwise, nano technology, quantum communication, and anti-grav technology might come a bit eariler than what was written, in my oppinion. I seriously doubt a new religeon will take over Islam. And in no way even if the nations would join together under a new religeon, would they be able to conquer Israel.

The Ageing gene idea was good. I guess it could still effect the one the drug is taken to since gene therapy is also being researched to help the one who it will be administered to, and not only their children.

Also a new chinese dynasty will have a SERIOUSLY hard time trying to take over the chinese government.

But still fun to read. Though I was expecting the shivans to pop a visit at some point. :D
I have returned... Again...
