Westwood has finally been shut down by EA!! YIPPEE!

Just so you know, let's count the truly original games they ever made:

Dune.
Command and Conquer (Original)
Earth and Beyond (which did really bad).

And....

Renegade!

EA plans to incorporate the crap-masters into another, larger portion of their firm.

Westwood also did the original Dune 2 (Dune 2000 was an undate of this).  Dune 2 was the game that technically started the whole RTS genre.

Dune 2 and Command and Conquer were absolute classics and are still some of my favorite games, but I don't think Westwood has put out anything really good after those two.

Anyway, this was posted like two months ago.

Blah. Such great evil, it cannot ever truly die. Just means everything's gonna be produced under the name of EA directly now.

Yeah, Westwood (debatably) started up strat gaming with Dune, but their aggressive marketing techniques, buyouts and closures of good companies, and failure to actually do anything but change the sprites for every ****ing game since Dune 2 almost killed strat gaming. All in all, they're still ****ers, and I find it incredible to this day that people have bad enough taste to buy their crappy, crappy products when there's so much good out there. I suppose it's just volume, and there's plenty of that in their ****, seeing as they don't have to actually do anything but "See this ion trooper? See this pixel over to the left? Well, I changed it. Sequel's done!"

I like the CnC interface. I like the tiberian storyline. I like the design of the units and CGI in the tiberian games. Thus, Westwood is A1 SUPAR

or it was a remark on how they were milking the genre with their endless sequels that are all the same, except for the name. oh, and sometimes the sides are called different names, too!
