OK guys i have a super tip for interface painters.

When you convert the color to 8bit then klick in PSP 7 on

COLORS then
DECREASE COLOR DEPTH then
256 COLORS 8BIT then
OPTIMEZED OCTREE and ERROR DIFFUSION not NEAREST COLOR

and then press the OK butten and look you can see no changes of the color schema but it is converted to 8bit and goes in FS2. ;7

Uh-huh.

I get the feeling that this is what people were going on about when they said that there wasn't too much of a difference when images were reduced to 8bit. Using an adaptive palette, instead of standard.

Do you believe them now, Mr. Terran?

Question for you, All-Mighty-Bearer-of-Intelligence-Known-as-Free-Terran, should I be insulted?

Offline diamondgeezer

Just so we know where we all stand, if there's any one who doesn't yet feel insulted, I'm right here :)

Respect is often earned from being respectful, I would think that's a very basic concept of social exchange. Free Terran hasn't really displayed that, acting like a 10 year old doesn't help either.
Perhaps people are a bit too hard on him for his english, but most of his reputation is solely his fault and problem.

I suggest you console Free Terran into being a more mature member if you fret about respect (the lack of it).

Science alone of all the subjects contains within itself the lesson of the danger of belief in the infallibility of the greatest teachers in the preceding generation . . .Learn from science that you must doubt the experts. As a matter of fact, I can also define science another way: Science is the belief in the ignorance of experts. - Richard Feynman

For the recond, Free Terran has never bothered me. So he has poor English skills, so what? He does a lot better in English than I would in German.  No, my mind felt the need to take a vacation because this:

was me, in two different threads, with examples.

boh his english isn't much worse than mine, btw from my experience in internet communities when someone act in a immature way, flaming is not the best response... give him the infos that he really needs and just ignore him in the other cases, and if he spam, swear or whatever over a certain limit (not in this case), well, let's leave the moderators do their job

Isn't this exactly what I posted in response to that 16.7 million color catastrophy of a thread the other week?

*shakes head*

Now its a revelation...oh well.  Whatever...long as someones happy.

But that suggests that others are unhappy.

Offline diamondgeezer

Well you can't be happy, you're northern.

Wait... is that a stereotype? Oh... *runs*
