May possibly upgrade to a 2 MB/s connection but I don't really need to. Yet.

1mb/s down but only 128 kb/s up whats that for a connection ?

I went to a college campus in Maryland once, and downloaded a 168 MB file in about 1 second.

1 T3 = 44Mbps downstream, dunno upstream.

Mind you that this double T3 is slightly less cause its hooked up the TCO's works network. i'd say its 1.75*T3 :D

TCO's work has the conn. Were just hooked up to that. Normally its about $10k/month I believe.

EDIT: Starts at $10,000/month for the 45 Mbps. Local loops range from $2,000 - $4,000/month.

*already looked into the matter of appropriating a T3, but the distance from him to the local back-bone line was about 15 miles, which means 5 signal boosters to have installed and maintained, which cost about 5K each plus monthly maintainence charges*

56k modem but my town can't utalize the full i think average with 27k and the highest is about 40 k but it works ok for multiplayer :)

soon to move over to adsl... (from 56k) hopefully  telstra have got thier arses into gear and set up the exchange to handle it :rolleyes:
