Correct, which makes the game worthless IMO.  Multiplayer is the most important aspect of any game as it often deturmines its longevity.

I miss my Gamecube... had to sell last month to buy food :(

On the plus side, you can now get a cube + Metroid for 130 squids, making the game essentially 'free'. Then it's just another 35 squids for Zelda... *drools*

Proves even more that [v]'s true strength relies in flight combat simulators. Look at the Descent series (sure they were a part of Parallax then but what the heck), and FS. RF1 wasn't bad at all too.

You think of Descent and Freespace as Flight Sims?

I saw something that might give us some hope.  It seems someone is making a sequal to Total Annihilation.  A rather old game whose original dev folded.  They had a pretty hard-core fanbase too who were, apparently, finally reconized.

Flight *Combat* Sim.

Couldn't say Space Combat, because Descent isn't in space, couldn't say weird 3d shooter thingy, because FS isn't that.

Well it certainly wasn't good.

I find myself agreeing with Bob. V, in their current state, doesn't seem qualified to make an FS3 worthy of the name. We'd probably get something with no multiplayer, no mod support, a juvenile plot, atrocious voice acting, extremely simplified controls, and 12 missions total.

Freelancer: Has MP (about 50 servers), is very moddable. Actually almnost everything in the game is moddable :D. Capships are flyable, actually all ships can be made flyable :D. FS ships can be imported :D

Though story and voice acting suck indeed :p Story is mainly a big tutorial so that you can freelance in MP with your friends.

We, Darkage and I, are making a FS -> FL conversion ;7

And at certain times of day (they don't last long), there are more people in the FS1 Multiplayer than the FS2 Multiplayer :wtf:
