Does anyone here regularly clean their system, ie de-dust all their hardware? Anyone got any advice on this?

I don't know... since I have all my comps open all the time, I just pass by them rather quickly with the vacuum. sucks up those big dustballs, at least. You need to be careful with these things, though. it's not hard to damage the components...

oh, a classmate of mine made a small cleaner out of a flashlight and a small fan... USB powered...

be sure to get the electro statics out of you and dont use a frizzy plastic thing to clean i found that those sticks u clean ur earwax out are just perfect or "air sprays" wich are mostly filled with flamable gas and freeze everything if you tilt it

I just use those cold airspray things once every few months.

Which reminds me, I have not done it in while, so I better do it sometime soon before it starts affecting air circulation. Last time I found a dead spider in there; let's see what is in there this time... :D

I dont clean mine often, i've got a few case fans and a big window, i can see if any dust builds up.  There's more dust tends to collect on the outside and on the top of the monitor than inside.

If those compressed air cans weren't such a massive rip, I'd have a fair old collection of empty cans by now. It's the closest I'm likely to get to a portablke freezeray :D

I don't clean my PC, I've observed it... four years later, it definitively makes more noise, but everything's fine otherwise :nervous:

ive got two three speed fans and they don't make a lot of noise

they're twin 70mm(i think) fans... there's a third above my cpu area...

actually the noisiest fan in my system is my radeon's when i first start it up, but the noise goes away when the chipset heats up..
