You mean like the glowiness of Shivan ships and some GTVA ships?

they are textures with the lights and glowing bits of a ship, such as the red streaks on shivan ships. With the help of the source code, they overlay the origional textures of a ship its bits appear to glow.
Quite pretty.

Here are the glowmaps. I forget if they're PCXs or in a VP, but either put the PCXs in data/maps or put the VP in your main FS2 directory. They will blow your mind.

Be aware if you have a low end machine(sub-800mhz) your fps is going to tank. But it will look good doing it.
