One thing for this render: make your entry and exit wounds different. Right now, they're nice, but indistinct :)

I see it now! W00t!

Yeah, it's very nice, but the perspective doesn't work... it looks like a small Orion and enormous Aeoluses :)

For Gods sake. Haven't you people heard of 3-Dimensional also called 3D? I had the same comment about my render. What do you think? That we are using MS Pain or something? :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

pb is that it doesn't look 3D. they're right, there's no sense of depth there.

Now that's an expert talking.

Look here dude. If you take a better look at the picture, you will see that the turret on the Aelos cruiser (just below the engines) is completely visible. If it was where you think it is, it would intersect with the Orion and the turret wouldn't be visible. It's just a matter of examining the picture carefully, not looking at it for 1 second like you and most people do. For a 3d artist of your calliber, you should have noticed that.

no, that's exactly the point. the important is to have the feeling of depth, not to say "look, the turret is in front of the ship, therefore it's closer". when you do a render, the important is the whole feeling. details are here to help the feeling, they're not a end in themselves. to get a good depth feeling, it's mainly a work on lights. subtle variations that make all the difference.
