there's a bug in the mission design.
Go over the the TBP forums, they have a fix available for download.

The workaround is pointless, if you fail a mission 3 times. You can skip it. I can also wait for the patch.

In mission 3, you and your wingmen do not have any weapons. This can be fixed by downloading the workaround.

Patch will come fairly soon, hopefully it will fix all the bugs people have been reporting.
