It does indeed look like we're looking at the back end of a batwing fighter, though I think the engines are a little bit different than the Uly.
[I am not really here. This post is entirely a figment of your imagination.]

Was that the one that the USAF made that didn't work (IN SG-1)?

Yeah, but I think we're looking at the front of that fighter/whatever it is.

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

That would be the X-302.  This little baby, in addition to being Earth's "first" working manned deep space craft, is also supposed to be hyperspace capable.  However due to instabilities in the Na'Quadria(sp?) fuel source, the little bugger just can make a "hyperjump" in and out of hyperspace, before the reactor scrams.

The design is based loosely on the X-301 which was a retrofitted Death Glider, which malfunctioned nearly killing Col. Jack O'neal and the Jafa, Teal'c.

The design program also includes the X-303 which is a fully functional warship approximately half the size of a standard Asgard vessel.

It should be noted that the X-303, is hyperspace capable and capable of engaging a Goa'uld mothership and emerge victorious.

BTW if you haven't noticed a couple of guys have started work on a Stargate mod over on VWBB. I'm not connected with the team but they probably wouldn't mind some help :)

Anyway have a look here if you wanna see what they are up to :)

With the help of a generous donation of Asgard tech, that is.

Are you sure about the relative sizes? Asgard sheeps are pretty freakin huge. The X303 seems barely aircraft carrier-sized.

Um...it hasn't actually done that yet, though, has it?  Least not in the last series they shown on Sky.......

I like SG-1.  Has a bit of the good old 'sticky tape & bluetac' approach to technology that's lacking in pretty much every other sci-fi programme I've seen.  Not that I actually watch much of that stuff - tends to get on my tit, y'see.

I think its hinted at, because in the episode where hammon calls france china nad russia  a meeting, and he needs Thor' help, thor says tat they will outfit the Pheonix with Asgard Weapons and shields. It would seem that with asgard wapons, it could destroy one with ease... In the FS universe, it might be across between the strenth leviathon with the power of a Deimos... IMO.

I got the size comparison from the episode where SG-1 gets kidnapped by the Asgard to help them take care of the Replicators.  There is a very clear shot of the Prometheus with an Asgard ship hovering above it.

Granted it's not a good comparison but hey it's all I got.

Also of note: three weeks until season premier!:thepimp:
