[color=66ff00]If you really want to see something interesting type both of these into google:

James Miller journalist killing
James Miller journalist murder

The results show the level of bias, not least from the british tabloids who call it an outright, undisputed murder; very unbiased.

Any reporting agency that needs to call itself  "honest", "balanced" or "unbiased" almost by definition is anything but.

More than anything else, Israel and Palestine remind me of two squabling children. From the various reports I see and read, each side is as bad as the other.

Palestinian terrorist should all be killed. What they do is wrong.

But Israel responds to that with state terror. The KNOWINGLY kill inocent civilians...As a state. If a soldier went beserk and killed a few civies, that's one thing.
But when Sharon ORDERS to wreck homes and kill people, that's a whole other thing. He should be sent to Haag for war crimes.

hmmm, valid points there, i can't say i agree with them though...
it all has to do with your point of view...

sandy may or may not agree with me on this, but it all depends on which end of the rifle barrel you're on.... i'm sure sharon is doing his best to protect his people from those who wish them harm..

it's all a depressing subject really... it all depends on 'how close to home' it really is... infact, i was rather disturbed by the whole bali bombing thing simply because that area is practically on australia's front porch....

on-topic(sorta) Tasmania's been dubbed one of the safest places on earth...(yay for me) but no place is completely safe from people who wish to kill themselves(and others) to further the causes of others..(which really infuriates me)

While I agree with the opinions stated on that site, I completely understand people's reluctance to accept what that site states as true.

World Net Daily is edited by an Arab American Christian... I know, go figure. ;) But what is people's opinions about their reporting?

Wreck homes, yes. The homes demolished are either illegal buildings, homes of the families of suicide bombers, or houses that have been used to snipe at IDF positions in the past. And AFAIk, the only time homes have been toppled on top of people have been when armed terrorists were holed up and under seige in the building. AFAIK, in such cases, there have been no other civillians inside the buildings.

But kill civillians? Show me. The only orders I ever got to that effect were as follows:

- If someone with capability (weapon) and intent is threataning your life, or the lives of civillians or fellow soldiers around you, shoot to kill.
- If there is a riot or protest of Palestinians near your position/post, from which accurate and life-threatning shots are being fired towards you or your fellow soldiers, you are only allowed to open fire if you have positively identified the source of the gunfire. If said source is hiding behind women or children, you are still allowed to shoot to kill, even if it means the injury or death of said woman/child being used as a human shield.

Also, is this the best place to inject that the Israeli security forces have successfully prevented at least one major terrorist attack per day since the beginning of the year? These arrests are usually not publicized in the international media, by the way. :-/

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. Both the israelies and palestinians need to get their s**t together and accept that they are gonna live side by side for a long time. The Palestinian must stop with their terroristattacks and the israelies must give back the land that they have occupied for so long time.

Quite a long time, true... like, 6000-odd years, or way before the existance of any Palestinians.

Don't give me that crap ;) You know, and I know that argument doesn't hold up. Just because a people once have had territory somewhere doesn't mean that it is theirs forever.

On the other (third) hand, this is most likely the case anyway.

I think it's better if I don't get involved.

hmm, wel I go with the 1st and 3rd one, there are so much media coverage they made the friggan War On Terror  look like a friggan reality show with every news channel showing it for 24/7, hell with the war going on I never got to hear the important stuff on the news that localy concerns me! :mad2:
