Anyhow, this is in regard to the generals TC that at one point I put a poll up for. Well, due to solatar & I having much in the way of school (stupid...english...class...), we kinda took a break for a while. Well, now I'm pretty much free for a while (not quite summer yet...), and I decided to start by getting the defibrilator out and use it on the generals TC project. After much vertex battling in gmax, I present you with my GTA Hovertank (as of yet un-named):



and those nifty terran marines that we all remember seeing in hallfight (a reskin by solatar):





As you can see, the hovertank does need textures, and we could definitely use another modeler (). So, questions/comments?

see, thats the thing, the tank isn't in game yet. 2 reasons

a) It isn't textured, so it would be invisible
b) I need to remember how to do the naming/heirarchy for generals

i take it, as far as balancing's concerned, shivan's are gonna be uber expensive, but have defensive/offensive capabilities second to none?

which is exactly why there AREN'T shivans! We were either going to do the NTF era or the 14 year war era, and since both sol & I were TVWP staffers, we decided to use that.

We did debate about something like a crashed moloch as the home base tho...

well, you could use boarding missions. Like you board a shivan destroyer and the mission is set inside it (no buildings of course)

or the GTI have Shivan drones

I have re-balanced the Generals sides... Works wonders now.

I made all rocket soldiers fire 4 times slower, but they do 4 times the damage.
The Humvee and the rangear are stronger, and the allso the gatling weapons.
And the A-10 thunderbolt now costs 2500, but has a killer vulcan cannon that blasts trough allmost anything (and 2 missiles)

The GLA athrax plane can spray longer, and some of their units are faster...
The USA battleship has greater range...

Only weapon the Shivans need is an Ion Cannon clone called Lucifer, just using red beams. Oh yeah, and it being used would mean instant defeat for all sides battling on the planet

Thought:  Will there be air forces? If so then you could have Hercs and stuff in the atmosphere.

And will there be some sort of beam-cannon artillery?

Quite possibly the absolute last FS fighter that would have atmosphereic capabilities. Along with the Erinyes.
