I was just thinking about a MMORPG for FS2 (before you groan, plz listen, more detail will be posted on this later).
I know it's been suggested before, but we've never really had the benefits that we have today (a larger community, and a heavily active SCP).

So, I'm asking for the Source Code guys to add in 3 things into FS2:

1) The ability to set a waypoint, and let your ship fly to it.

2) The ability to warp in and out of one match.

3)  The ability to have a very large map.

More stuff later, but I just want the:

"That would require too much work, it can't be done"

"Too much, that's too much stuff to add"

etc...



EDIT: After browsing thru the web, I've looked at some stuff and seen how difficult it would be to do this. However, I would REALLY like the option of having a somewhat more, how should I put it...."involvment" in FS2. As it is now, the MP is basically non-existent, and the SP is, well, still waiting for all the campaigns to finish.

You can set waypoints in FRED, and fly to them in the game. :nod:

You've always entered missions by warping in and ended them by warping out. :nod:

The map already lets you fly to 60 km in the main game, with an even bigger limit in the SCP version. :nod:


Thus even retail FS2 fills your needs.  Or perhaps I don't understand your request. ;)

I mean setting a waypoint as a target, and having your ship go to it at an accelerated speed and automatically. (Sort of like EVE)
