Uhm,

how many missions does the ST-campaign have?

The 40 misions mentioned are single-missions, right?

How many of you have played the ST-campaign completly anyway?
From other threats one could suggest that quite some people don't like it too much.:D

Yep, a few times though the campain, and I did play quite few of the stand alone ones too;).

Have almost finished remaking it in FS2, nothing much, just ported the missions over, and made small changes to make the missions more 'correct'

For instance, in the third mission, command says a 'cruiser' is en route to your location to pick up the pods, but what really shows up is a Orion:wtf:(well two, but Command was talking about the second one).

Still need to finish the final mission though.  Havn't touched it in ages.....
...There ought to be something surreal about a Zoid offering romantic advice...and yet there is not. It seems perfectly normal that the Liger is giving Bit advice on relationships, and it shouldn't, but it does. Dangit man, you've confused me again.[/I]

I played it through. I think it had some good concepts but just wasn't put together right.

I'm hoping for a lot more from the people porting it :)

Axem - Sorry to post again when I said I was leaving for good, but something was nagging me. I don't want to say it in a way that shames the campaign but I think we can all agree it is actually.. incomplete. It is missing... Voice Acting.
Quanto - I for one would love to lend my beautiful singing voice into this wholesome project.

the last mission was f*king stupid, if I may say so. :wtf:
I took down 100+ loki fighters before my last bomber died and I realized that they wouldn't stop until the hades was destroyed.  so I flew into a niche in the hull and took it out with my little laser beams.  yep, in my little Uly (I think it was), I took down a "Super Ultra Bringer-Of-The-Apocalypse Shivan Death Weapon".  :nervous:
AI didn't even notice me and it took quite a while (even with 4x time compression)

I mean, wtf???

Actually, if someone can talk me into finish fredding the last mission, we might have it out pretty quick here.  :)

That is how I would describe it too. Some excellent story ideas were counterbalanced by poor gameplay balancing in several of the missions. There was of course the terrible final mission but some others also needed work, such as that one with the enemy science cruiser you had to capture and the nearby Typhon. The ST Reborn thing should be very good though since it looks like it is going to keep the story and fix up the gameplay.

Agreed.  I did the same thing.  I watched the fighters fly over me, in plain sight, over and over again.  I even took a few potshots and they still didn't see me!  It was truly an example of a mission gone bad...
