Its great to know we have some people around here who know html code/css code without editors - great work Kamikaze

on another note Dreamweaver MX is best (especially color-coding), 2nd is notepad...then void

If everyone had to do it that way it'd take forever to do anything, stop being so damn elitist.

frontpage makes a mess of all HTML, increasing file sizes to the rididulous. and indeed, i would prefer using some kind of command line (or just good keyboard control) for some functions.

How very odd. I looked at HLP (before looking at F2S, FSWatch and all the rest) but I never saw that disclaimer. I can't have been looking hard enough - but then men are gentically prone to be rubbish at looking for things :)

And seriously kasperl mate, give it a rest. I already said in plain language that I don't know any raw HTML, and the only way I was going to make a website was with a GUI editor (for example the one that came with my Office disc, FrontPage). Perhaps it does balls up stuff, but at least I've got where I've got in three evenings - doing things your way I'd still be sat here looking at a blank Notepad page

actually I still use the command line to do those ;) (on the linux box...actually windows 2k has an ftp function in its command line too) imo, doesn't really take time...

Frontpage may be ****e but it does the job. As DG said some of us don't know HTML much and while it is fairly simple to learn it does take time.
Since this is probably DG's first website (or one of his first) I have no problem with him using Frontpage.

Now if it was 2 years down the line and he's offering to make other people pages and still using Frontpage it would be a completely different matter :D

Thanks for the approval. Maybe I'll mention on the website, 'karajorma approved'. [/sarcasm]

You lot suck. It's just like the time I made a ship in Blender and got it textured and flying in game. I felt dead proud of my little achievment, my first ever model.  I posted a pic and do you know the only respone I got? 'You should learn Lightwave'.

ok,i feel like i owe you an apolagy, i should've put some sarcastic smiley there or something. the only thing i ment, is that using frontpage produces pretty, but not so small websites. i didn'twan't to bash you personally, nor do i mean to say you're first website sucks. for a first site, it's good. i was just in a slightly humorous mood, and i had to trawl through some frontpage code a week back. that's all.

i am sorry if i insulted you in any way.

this is one of my rare apolagy's, it won't happen again soon.

The fact that DG is trying and asking questions instead of "Hey can someone make me a site" is pretty damn good in itself i think.

I wasn't having a go at you DG. Considering it's your first website it works pretty well. You have every right to be perfectly happy with what you've managed to achieve.

Yep. I agree with that. Actually I'm more impressed with how far he's come so far when it comes to modding.
