How to make squad logos
I save them as .pcx and put a cop of them in my players\squads\whatever directory, and I put another in data\multidata, but they still don't show up in the game, I mean, it's listed, but there's no image!

decrease your colors to 256 and make sure they are 128 by 128
It's a fact.  Stupid people have stupid children.  If you are stupid, don't have sex.  If you insist on having sex.  Have sex with animals.  If you have sex with an animal.  Make sure the animal is smarter than you are.  Just encase of some biological fluke you and the animal have offspring, they won't be as stupid as you are.   One more thing.  Don't assume the animal is protected.  If the animal has a condom, or if female some interuterian device, insist they wear it.  Help stop this mindless mindlessness.  Keep your stupidty to yourself.  This message was brought to you by the Committee of Concerned Citizens that are Smarter than You are.

Also, if you are using them for single-player missions, they only show up on fighters if the missions are being played in a campaign.

What they said, in a check list:

__ Image size 128 by 128 pixels

__ Image reduced to 256 colors

__ Background (what you want transparent) filled with pure green (#00FF00 or 0 256 0)

__ Image saved as .pcx

__ Image copied into data\players\squads\

__ Image appears in multiplayer pilot barracs (in the squad logo selector)

__ Create mission in FRED2 to change squad to new image

__ Put new mission in a campaign

__ Play new campaign to see if squad logo appears

That's what I had to do with my new logos. I created a bunch of new ones, and so I created a mission for each one, and strung them together into a campaign to test and view them all.

No, he's not back for real, just popping his head in to say "hello" while on break from classes.
