Is there a place where I can find Freespace 1 for Download?

Don't think so - V never got around to releasing FS1 for free like they did FS2.

Thanks.:(  is there anthing I could do to get the voice acting from FS in my FS2 Port without buying the game?

Er... I'm not the expert on this but I think that since FS1 was never released as a freebie, you aren't allowed to give out the voices and other media associated with it to people who may not own the game themselves. Now, V probably wouldn't care all that much themselves, but GameSpy are pretty hot on copyright rules which means the HLP admins have to be. Go talk to the Port guys, see what they say.

Axem - Sorry to post again when I said I was leaving for good, but something was nagging me. I don't want to say it in a way that shames the campaign but I think we can all agree it is actually.. incomplete. It is missing... Voice Acting.
Quanto - I for one would love to lend my beautiful singing voice into this wholesome project.
Nuclear1 - I want a duet.
AndrewofDoom - Make it a trio!

All you need to do is say in the readme that all the creddit gos to V, and V's voice acting crew. And the stuff saying that u can't use and/or sell these bla bla bla and then it would be fine. And I did but their all too scared to do it.:(

yeah I'de love to play FS1 agin, cause I almost dont remmber it. Unfortunately my disks are scratched up, so it wont even install

Sure would be convenient if someone could upload the files or make them somehow accessbile...in theory;7 ;7

Your right about that for sure, this is killing me knowing it's there but not hereing it!:hopping:

But it still would be illegal, right?

If you have FS2, you can download the FS1 conversion (available from the main page of HLP) and play a version of FS1 with better graphics but fewer frills.

Is FS2 free for DL like somebody here said? Can you give me a link to DL FS2 complete with Videos and Sounds or is only the demo available. :nervous:

The HotU download doesn't have all the videos or sound but by searching around you can bring it up to a full install.
 Either way it's hardly a demo. You can find it here after you've downloaded it have a look at the HotU page in my FAQ for help on how to get it up and running as a full version.

And to think I bought my brothers (2) a copy of fs1 and they don`t even play them... Tried to make it a family thing but it backfired on me..

This may have been taken the wrong way... I wasen`t mad because my brothers didn`t play, I was just dissapointed.:D

If you mean for playing the FS port I doubt anyone would care.

Well then, if thats the case i`m in the position to make Stargunner an offer.. If he can`t get FS1 anywhere else.. All I ask is if he would consider helping AHTW All Hands To War..

 (edit) Hippo has accepted me on the staff of AHTW, as a mission tester and i`ll be doing some voice acting for him also..:D

I have no problem with him or anyone else helping, but isn't he looking for FS1? :confused: I'm probably just confused from the heat... (115 degrees)
