Replacing Models in Max
So... Is there a simple way of replacing a mesh in Max with another one, so that the animation and hierarchy stays the same. I've used no modifiers, no editmesh, only simple rotation and transition tools.

hmm, if you both objects have the same name, but are in different files, if you merge the mesh you want, you have the option of replacing the existing one with the merged one. altho I don't know if there's any hierarchy. failed that, use an Xmesh ( that'll keep your actual mesh, but when you launch the render, it will use the Xmesh - that's a lod system with you want ).
