Hey :)

I need some voice actors, just for one mission (you won't be inundated with constant requests). This mission does have quite a lot of script to it, however. The roles I need are..

Command Brief Admiral (old sounding male)
Brief Squadron Leader (younger male)
Terran Command (Male, no real specification)
Terran Destroyer Captain (male or female)
Terran Cruiser Captain (male or female)
Vasudan Corvette Captain (Does it matter? lol)

There are two Command Brief screens, two brief screens.
Terran Command and Terran Destroyer do a good 80% of the lines in game. The Cruiser Captain has only one or two lines, ditto with the Vasudan Corvette. If you volunteer for the role as Vasudan, I'm afraid you'll have to do all the voice-screwing and throw in the vasudan speech background yourself. Double casting is fine as long as you can pull it off. :)

If people want to see some screenshots of what they may be working for, I'd be happy to oblige. However, I don't have my own web server or ftp I can upload pictures to, so you'd have to give me your email address and I can send a few pictures, and you can upload them for everyone to see.

Its just a single mission, I'm after dramatic, emotional rollercoaster mission that people will find frantic and enjoyable. Since its a single mission, and the script just needs polishing, your acting will be part of a COMPLETED pack for once! ;)

well, i don'thave time to voice act for the next 3 weeks, but i'll host screeny's, mailto: [email protected]

makesure to put HLP in the subject, i don't want it to end up with the spam.

and no bigger then 1MB, otherwise hotmail will freak.

I might be able to do a bit, but my voice is a bit on the anoyying side. Very deep, but very nasal.
If you get Roger Wilco I'll show you what I mean.

Is that matter if I burr? Not if I would want to be a voice actor, just a question.

I'll give it a go, but I can't do anything until I get new bits for my pooter - it's in pieces in a box at the moment, 'cos the mobo fried itself a few weeks back. I'll have the new stuff in a few weeks, and then I can do it no problem. Can you wait that long, or is it urgent? :)

I'll do any of the acting you want. I've got a pretty average voice, so no problems there. One question, though - do you mind a Welsh accent? It's not a hideous Valleys one (though I can do that on request :D ), and not really a Cardiff one (also quite annoying). It's sort of a posh-welsh accent TBH (if you can imagine such a thing). I can put on other accents if you want, but some are a bit dodgy....

Which reminds me, I have a fairly broad Yorkshire accent, although I can suppress it if needs be.
I am also told that I can fake accents quite well.

Yorkshire, welsh, its all fine! Don't worry about the nasel - I can't be picky with actors because I know there are not a great deal of them and I basically need them because the mission is both action and dialogue heavy so I need the player to hear instructions rather than have to attempt to read them whilst in a fire fight.

pyro - I have 11 weeks of summer holiday coming up - I'm willing to wait. :)

I'll leave this request open for anyone else that may choose to sign up, but incase I do not get many, will either Petrarch or pyro be kind enough to do some double-casting? This may mean you get to flaunt all the cheesy accents you can do, and of course there'd be a bit bigger workload. But I think the satisfaction of hearing a destroyer captain yell in a broad Yorkshire accent "Take out the turrets on that Moloch, pilot, and it'll all be triffin' grand." would be well worth it. :drevil:

I'll leave this open for another week or so perhaps.

I forgot to say -  I will send an email in a while... I just need to correct the sun lighting and background which I was doing this second so the eye candy is good enough. :)

I've sent you the pictures, kasperl. :)

Just as a note before I put this up - the mission isn't finished and needs debugging, so ignore than oddities (Like Two "return to base" directives:wtf: )

The lighting still needs some correcting to the get the right shadows. I may need to soften the harsh red up a bit, I want a highly ambient atmosphere but I think at the moment its unrealistic.

They got to you as BMP? Most odd, I converted them all and just checked my sent messages - they're all .jpg. Thanks for "reconverting" them - .jpg it is. :)
