would that be because people don't check the button: 'continue uploading after download is finished'?
It came from outer space! What? Dunno, but it's going back on the next flight!

If you're using BT++, it's settable in preferences. In the normal BT, you can set it with command-line arguments.

Thanks guys... another thing, whenever I use BitTorrent, about 2 hours into a transfer, my computer freezes, or does something stupid. I'm wondering if anyone else has been having this problem. Starting to piss me off.

[color=66ff00]Yep, the version I saw had close as the default setting, most ppl don't bother changing that.

DragonClaw, thats happened to me a few times in the past few days, but never before, so I thiink it may just be a coincidence. The reason why I think that is first of all because its never happened before, secondly because when it does freeze, its not at a set time interval (sometimes 15 mins, sometime an hour etc) and thirdly becuase my computer froze several times without BT being open, so I think it may just be a coincidence, nevertheless thought you'de like to know

I have used Torrent on occasion. It's fast if there's enough seeders. But because you can't easily set limits on ul/dl, that makes it unpractical for me, as I'm sharing this connection with 3 other computers and Torrent takes all available bandwidth.
I use eMule mainly. It let's me set ul/dl speed and other stuff (Blocklist, scheduler). The Ed2k network is a little slow, but you can get pretty much anything off it.

Anyway, I only use Torrent, when I want a file very quickly. And that isn't often. For the most part, I can wait.

BT++ keeps uploading after the download is finished by default (latest version at least).

The client itself is good, there's only so much what can be done to the people using it. If they don't want to keep uploading... well, that's shameful and their loss.
