Anyone know of a good way for making engine glows and thruster trails in Paint Shop Pro(7.04, if it maters)?

if you used photoshop 6 i might've been able to help you..not right now tho, i'm not on my own comp ATM

Multiple circles centered in the image on different layers using various blur and blend effects (Dodge works wonders in PSP).  Or multiple lines with the same kind of effect.  Using a noise map of some kind usually helps the missile trails look a little less contrived.  The smudge tool as well.
