Well, I tried to see if there was enough interest in a restart of this campaign before, and here's a second time... not to mention the last. FS2 is getting old and I feel that if a campaign gets started anytime later than this, than by the time its finished the fanbase will be long gone.

So...

I'm wondering if anyone would be interested in a restart of Hidden Terror, a campaign in which the player plays as a Shivan. The campaign follows the FS2 storyline and proceeds a little after it... but it does not focus solely on the events of the FS2 storyline, there's something different, something hidden :nervous:

I'm going to be needing staffers, specifically;
1. Modellers - I might be able to do some of this myself, I've gotten slightly better, so if no one volunteers for this spot, I suppose I can suffice
2. Texturers - I've never figured out how to make textures...)
3. FREDers - I can make missions but I'm not the greatest at it
4. CBAni Animator - I can do this quite well, but I don't want to have the whole work load on me
5. Table Editor(s) - needed to make weapons, fix the shivan ships for player's use, etc.
6. Voice Crew - In case I plan on doing voice, this'll be finalized if I get enough staff in the other areas)
7. Story Editors - needed to spice up the campaign with specific info, and other similar things.

I have no doubt I'm probably missing something... I'll figure it out later.

I've decided at another try at this, mostly because of the SCP, it'll enable a lot of things to be done that weren't able to be done before. I hope there's enough interest... And I'm pretty sure I've still got a bunch of papers lying around that had all the campaign missions plotted out and stuff... though I'll still need story editors to put in some very nice details :)

Please post too, don't just vote... I don't trust votes much :)

[edit] OK, I figured out what I was missing...

Firstly, wondering if I made a website if I could get hosted by HLP

Secondly, I'm wondering if anyone here who downloaded the Hidden Terror demo when it came out while it was still running still has it... I could _really_ use those files. It would save a lot of work for one, and thats the first mission too.

Sounds like this campaign has pretty high ambitions. Like Solatar I also can't help but would definitely provide you with a fanbase. ;)

After playing the main campaign about 20 times and the Aeos Affiar about 10, its time for a new campaign for me anyway. :D  Sounds like a great idea for one. Ill still be here as a fanbase :) I think Voition should have continued on with the Freespace Saga.. but thats life.

Between the various campaigns and secret projects and sleeping i'm involved in, I'm stretched further than a rubber band around Oprah's midrift, but, I think I might be qualified to help you out with the story. If you're intrested lemme know what you got. Also, you might want to talk to deep_eyes, I hear he's good with story work as well.

Sounds cool!  Models shouldn't be too difficult, if your playing parralel to FS2, then it should just be a simple matter of making the shivan ships flyable.  And No, I can't help you with that, but if you want to bounce story ideas off me, feel free.  e-mails in the sig!

Wow, wasn't expecting someone to still have the demo. It's been so long... This is GREAT news, makes things a lot easier for me.

Could you please either send to [email protected] (if you send it VIA email make sure you put Hidden Terror in the title, or i might think its spam) or send it to me VIA ICQ @ 95396765 , or just upload it to a website somewhere, because I'll end up doing that anyway just to give the feel.

And thanks for the interest guys, and I'd like an 'official' staffer doing story, not really someone I send things to get checked off.

Requirements would be a willingness to go into FS2 and figure out how things worked out with a timeline, and make adjustments to the story, to check the mission's validity to the main fs2 storyline. Apart from that, you got to have an imagination to at least try and spice things up, adding some suprises, etc...

Alright, what time will you get on? I try and stay on ICQ all the time, but when I play any games I get off b/c when people message me it screws the game up.

Give the time with a GMT or just give me it in -5 GMT(EST) - my time zone


Oh, and Sandwich, what good is a fanbase without any workers :p
