Here is my latest effort, this time to design a website to serve as a portfolio for the stuff I've done. The links don't work yet, as do (or dont) alot of things, but they'll all be up by tommorow at the latest (since the company I'm doing co-op at is getting quite impatient for me to send them the link).

If I could get you opinions on the site, I'll probably be doing some revisions between now and tommorow so any comments you have would be welcome.

Another important thing, please tell me how fast the site loads for you. I did it mostly in Photoshop slcces (lack of time) so I'm quite curious to see if the loading speed it acceptable.

nice... unfrotunately, i can't tell you of the loading speed(adsl)... maybe someone with a 56k could tell you..;)

do not torment the sleep deprived artist, he may be vicious when cornered,
in case of emergency, administer caffeine to the artist,
he will become docile after that,
and less likely to stab you in the eye with a mechanical pencil

Thanks for the comments. Check out the last pic, its a blue version of the website. Initially I was supposed to do it as an alternate theme, but...well..

Anyways, which one do you guys prefer? The blue pastels or the green/yellow. I've asked a few people and they mostly like the blue better, though I prefer the current one (thats why I used the green/yellow)

Any suggested impr-u-vements?

very nice design, in terms of graphics. In particular I like the colours :D

However I think the site would be significantly simpler if you used div tags and absolute positioning. Then you would have one big image for most of the interface, then have buttons positioned on top of the big image. It'd get rid of the annoying table.

As a matter of fact, I can also define science another way: Science is the belief in the ignorance of experts. - Richard Feynman

heres the new url - the old one is not there anymore from what I saw

Kamikaze if Rictor used DWMX to develop the site you can't see much in the preview window if you use div tags, so all scripting has to be done in notepad otherwise that would be the reason to use tables, so you don't have to preview in IE everytime you make a change...

blue ones very nice but the pic navigation isn't contrasting enough...maybe placing the alpha level for them a bit higher ;)
