Terran Fighter
Terran Bomber
Vasudan Fighter
Vasudan Bomber
Shivan Fighter
Shivan Bomber
Ancient Bomber

It'll be interesting to see if any of you change your opinions after playing and seeing the ships in battle. Right now all you can go on are looks :)

Just a question: what is the "H" in SH Gargant? Shivan Humongazoid?

you know, since it is a "hive," it should have one massive figherbay that launches Sathanas Juggernaughts just for hahas.

Btw, what happens to the whole Colossus class design? Did the GTVA just abandon it after making only one?

It wouldn't be a 'fighter' bay then :D

Colossus was scrapped for better designs.

Yeah, since Inferno ships pack much more firepower compared to their Capella-era equivalents, vessels like the Colossus are an expensive waste of resources.

I noticed a difference between Inferno ships in Inferno and Inferno ships in my campaign: although my ships are much faster (and often more maneuverable) than their FS2 equivalents and have more shields and armor, their weapons are the same as on Capella-era ships. Inferno ships seem to have no more speed and maneuverability than FS2 ships and their shields and armor aren't vastly different (for example, I don't think the Vesuvius has 650 shield hitpoints in Inferno), they pack MUCH more firepower.

Our ships are balanced for our campaign, the Vesuvius isn't a super fighter, it's the first you fly.

Ohhhh. The Apollo is the first ship you fly in my campaign, and the Satyr is the last. The Vesuvius is an elite fighter that first appears as an enemy ship in Act 2.

Too Long, Didn't Read

That's actually an important thing to remember. As I understand it we were originally going to have some Cappella-era fighters and warships in Inferno, so increased the offensive abilities of the newer ones to reflect their technological superiority.

Now that all of the Cappella-era fighting vessels have been stripped to make room for the new toys (things like the Argo, Hermes, containers remain), arguably including a slightly modified version of the Sathanas, the figures are now quite balanced. But with ~140 new ships it's quite a mammoth task.

Well originally Inferno was for FS1 :p

When I transfered it to FS2 over 2 years ago we only had a few reskins of existing ships. Then we had a few ships like the Galatea, now we have the biggest mod collection for FS2 :D

when are the Inferno core files going to be released?! I personally dont care if one or two of the missions are half-done... unless they are the first two. If they are the last two.. just release the campaign patched....

dont make me wait :hopping:

I won't release the core files too early, as if anything is missing from them it can really mess things up. Also the tables won't be included so they'd still be useless anyway :D

All missions are done, we're just fixing bugs and adding a few extra things.

I'll anoint myself in faeces, take a dive in a tank of pirahnas and jump into an industrial mincing machine before I let this campaign go out less than 1% from perfect. :p
