This probably has been done before but here we go again.  So, whats your guys' favorite ship in the game, capship or fighter.  Mine is the Hatshepsut, it has a really cool design and it works much better in combat than the Hecate does.  When it jumps in, it looks like a sword of death coming in to blast whatever's out there.

The Orion - masses of firepower and still decades older than her more modern peers. She's the best capship of FS1 and is still difficult to beat for flexibility and firepower in the sequel. Hooray for GTA engineering!

I gotta go with the Ravana, the tech description mentions it as a ship to destroy smaller prey, I certainly don't feel that way; its a straightout assault weapon with 2 lreds and 2 sreds forward.

Favorite ship? Gotta be the Naga. Maybe the Raynor. Perhaps the Andropov.

Athena. The only way it could be 1337er would be if it manuevered more  like a fighter, or held bombs.

Capship wise, the Deimos or the Hoover. Although my favorite ship is the Athena.

i forgot about the Athena!  The athena is also one of my favorite ships, the only side effect, like you said, was the fact that it couldn't carry very good weapons.  like, it couldn't carry the Prometheus in FS1 (i've never played Athena in FS2)... only like the Avenger and Disruptor, which kinda sucked.  also it couldn't carry hornets or interceptors (!?).  i liked the way the gun mounts were close together, that was cool.

Yeah, it's best gun was the Avenger. But it did carry Interceptors (not hornets though, IIRC> No skin off my back really) but the thing was, it was supposed to be a light bomber, but it was more of a wild weasel/interceptor due to it's speed and non-existant bomb bays (not even tsunami). And it wasn't in FS2, replaced by the Zeus

The Iceni is a marvelous little ship.  Nice armor, flexable weapons, and cool looks.

The Valk is by far the best fighter, for some reason i really love the way it looks.
