is it really smart to do this when a lot of people are away for summer holidays?

if they want to join when they come back that won't be a problem... i'll have all their information, they can just send me an email and i'll add them right back.

see, during the summer, while many are away on holiday, others are working on the source code, so we want to keep it as up to date as possible

To be useful, the tester list actually has to have people who will test on it

The way I understood it was that if a coder needed someone with a specific graphics card to test something they would pick and choose from the tester list.

I never got contacted in that way and I'm guessing very few people did but whenever there was a new release or limited release (like the launcher) which I was made aware of through the list I always tried it out.

I'm perfectly willing to do tests if a coder needs a test subject.

I think one problem is that a lot of people are scared by bugzilla and prefer to report bugs here.

FT: I dunno whta your problem is, but I know that Stealth has replied to your requests to join, he copied me on the emails, you should be on the list. If you are not, triple check that you supplied a correct email, etc, and email all of the appropriate info (card and system specs, bugzilla id, etc) to me, and we will do it once and for all.

Free Terran:  as Inquisitor said, i've replied at LEAST half a dozen times to your emails.  i've said EXACTLY what you need to supply me with (email address, PC specs, etc.) and you never have.  i've answered all your questions, but until i have your PC information, you're not going on the tester list!

Now... let me get the tester list up to date.  everyone who hasn't replied to my email is getting taken off right now (and only like 10 people replied )
