They can do it, they densely have HD space, according to this thread, I was quite surprised that my Winchester has the least capacity.

So could I. I have an 80Gig HD with nothing at all on it cause I haven't come close to filling my 120Gig one. And yet I still don't see much point in wasting space on multiple installs. Especially as you can use the -mod flag on FS2_open to remove the need for half of them.

I just wanted to say that if it is good for them to have multiple installs, let them do as they want. Otherwise I agree with you that FS2 mods are easily removable by replacing the tables, or renaming the .vps.
