Stu's chant of the day: Well, that was certainly interesting.
So I was riding on the bus from one estonian city to the other, y' know what I mean?

I had my mother's laptop with me. A P4 1.6 Ghz 256 mb DDR Ati Radeon 32 mb VDRAM beast.

Incidentally with Splinter Cell installed. To pass the time I decided to slack off a few levels. After all, the monster-acumulator would provide me with two full hours of play-time.

After one hour, exactly 14 1/2 (1/2 being a child) people were standing around my seat, cheering, instructing, and generally discussing the Ubisoft masterpiece. Now, if I ever need to overhaul my car, get a decent webserver, or generally need a favor, I've got some new numbers to call.

Never would have thought.

I wish I could play Splinter Cell, alas I'm too poor/lazy/cheap to upgrade.
Why do people keep pointing guns at me?

Maybe in South Korea it'd work, then again, they probably have laptops installed already, with Starcraft on it.

Ah, right, Estonia.

Having a 'magic drawing' and 'portable lighting' they probably all thought he was some kind of evil wizard and wanted to get on his good side.

In general, if you start doing something in a public place that nobody else is doing, everyone will crowd around you to watch. :D

yeah, in Korea there's no such thing as a Starcraft n00b.  Starcraft to them is like baseball to Americans.  it's on public television and everything.

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

Happens to me any time. You just start taking off your pants, and suddenly you're the center of attention for a block around.

Really, has nobody anything better to do with their lives?
