I would like to know, Where the ... you download Freespace 2, I can't buy it in stores, people been telling me to get it off Ebay (BLAH , yea right 70 bucks ain't worth it) , I do have Freespace 1, but not 2, if u guys know anything cool , just tell me thanks

Now a year ago you have been severely reprimanded for asking for warez in here. But luckily times have changed. FS2 is now open source, and is even partially hosted at the Home Of The Underdogs.

We're working on getting the hi-res packs and voices and stuff hosted, but for now I think you're limited to the basic stuff they've got at HOTU.

I'm going to take this moment to do three things: firstly, welcome to the HLPBB. If you see chap named ZylonBane, insult his mother. Secondly, go check the Source Code Project, and stick their latest EXE in your FS2 folder (get the glow map pack while you're in there). Thirdly, and most importantly, my Space: Above And Beyond conversion - hoo-rah!

Well i could care less bout that damaged thingy, but anywho, thanks for Warning me, if you can tell by my profile, i like to start small trouble, Nways. Yea bout that underdog site, i went there once, and i downloaded EVERYTHING for freespace 2, when i got the packaged UNZIPED. i clicked Play on freespace 2 Launcher. and all it did , once give me a black screen, and it took me back to my desktop, So I might feel like downloading that again, Not sure, If i do , i would like you to send that Download through , e-mail or somethin, this time, to make sure it works, if not, then

Like was told to you before, you can get all the missing VP files from my FTP server. click the link in the third post by Tiara and make sure to read all the info there. Then connect and make sure to read the README file to know what to do.

Ok Icegold, heres the thing. Those files you downloaded from Home of the Underdogs are good. Theres nothing wrong with them. If you've downloaded once, I see no reason to download again. Now, if you're getting errors, crashes or if FS2 simply isn't working for you, thats another issue. If you wet out and bought FS2, I doubt it would work any better than the version you already have.

So, the question isn't where to get FS2, but rather how to get it to work. Without knowing your specs and stuff, I can recommend that you re-install it and make sure everything is very clean; no errors, lockups etc. If that fails, post your computer specs up here and you will probably find someone who has had the same problem and has found a solution. I would also recomend that you you us the search function to see if there are any posts relating you your specific Operating System/ Video Card/ CPU and FS2 problems
