What does everyone remember about it?

I seem to remember it was going to be this massive mod, with a really cool plot that would include a bunch of intricate details from all over the FS timeline.

I've tried looking around the net for info, even using the Wayback Machine, but haven't seen anything other than splash pages.  However, I know I've read a plot outline for it at one point.  Anyone have any stuff hidden on their computers?

I ask because I've been mulling over possibly doing my own version of Temporal Mechanics, but it's a rather involved plot that would require much of the TVWP be completed (for backstory) before I would be able to release it.  Considering the pace of the TVWP, that might take about 10 years. :) Still, it's something to think about.

Take my advice and don't get too far ahead of yourself...I did, do, and continue to due so...and I learned my lesson :)

I don't remember much but I don't think Temporal mechanics had much in the way of MODs...more story driven like BWO.

Well, I have to get a little bit ahead of myself because I'm planning on having residual effects of time travel show up mysteriously throughout TVWP. :) I'm basing it on a single self-consistent timeline model (like Babylon 5) rather than an all-possibilities-are-required-to-happen quantum timeline model (like Star Trek).  I'm intending on making it primarily story-driven too... in any case, by the time I'd be at the point where I could start work on the campaign, all the mods I'd need would be already completed.  But having a look at the old TM material would provide some food for thought.

Blimey... TM was an active project back when I signed up at the VBB :)

I was supposed to take over TM from Star Epoch (until his RL issues couldbe resolved), at that time lots of campaigns were going under and it was really depressing so I stepped up and volunteered.   Wouldn't you know it all the files got wiped so there was nothing to do. I think Griffin UK knew the story, but SE had the hard drive crash (whatever progress they made lost).

Now if someone DOES have those files somewhere than I encourage you to ressurect TM someday. L8tr!
Don't think of it as being outnumbered. Think of it as having a wide target selection !

That and viruses. I think a couple of campaigns were lost to them.

In this day and age, you'd think that there wouldn't be so many virus hits. Do you lot just run executables off KaZaA or something?
[I am not really here. This post is entirely a figment of your imagination.]
