Main exits are to the rear :D  The hab does interfere with the 2 forward facing plasma turrets though.

 
I was curious why the CCD Kiev zip file doesn't have a uh, ships.tbl entry with it? So we could see it's capabilities and so forth.

Nah, we didn't release the tables for the Kiev because doing so would require that we also release our weapons and effects, neither of which we are willing to release just yet ;)

 
You could always release a blank table entry. With boring stuff like rotation time and hitpoints, but just have all of the turret entries blank. That way people could plug in bunch of "Terran Turret" or something and plug it into a mission so they could get up close and personal with the model :)

If they can replace weapons, then they shouldn't have any trouble coming up with their own table entry, no? ;)

 
True enough, unless one doesn't know where and how many turrets it has. What program do you use to make new models anyhow? A 3d editing program or is there some FS tool out there (I've only got that VPView thing-a-ma-bob)

Model View lets you see how many turrets it has, their names, etc.

For 3D modeling, you can use any of a number of programs, Maya, Milkshape, and Lightwave being just a few of them.

 
Okay, cool. I was actually thinking about using it in a mission I was planning on making (though the making of that mission would be fairly far off). Though I would have asked you dudes for permission first of course. As it's a pretty cool little ship.

Hmmn, now if only I can figure out how to make a damn unit get scanned in my current mission.
