1. and 2. I'll see what I can do. I'll increase the sphere sizes, wire density, and thickness.

3.) Why? These colors are about the same as the ones used in the FS2 cbs.

4.)  I don't know how to do any special effects in Max yet--including glowing, making boxes and things appear out of nowhere, animating text, any of that stuff. If I can get that glowing done, that would be a huge help in making CB anis.

GE, Stu's nodemap was the one I mentioned on ICQ - notice how the viewpoint shifts in-between systems and stuff, but the system names are always facing the camera.

But your (static ) map looks more V-ish!
