Is there anyway I can use Bright to convert a bunch of bmp files into PCX files with a shared pallete?

No idea. Irfanview is great at batch conversions though

But not for matching palletes

There's a palette option in there, but it doesn't seem to do anything. Oh well. Sorry, false lead.
Bright come with any help files?

This is the command line I usually use:

BRIGHT "image".bmp -colors 256 -common -rgb

Just the name of the image is needed any sequence behind it can be ignored, Bright will figure it out by itself.

put that in a text file in the same folder as bright and you're files and then rename the file so that it has a .bat extention, then double click on it,

though I generaly go the
bright nameoffile*.tga -common
route myself
Bobboau, bringing you products that work... in theory

image=name of image

the bat name must be "bright_cfg.bat"

bright.exe, bright_cfg.bat and the iamges must be in the same directory

YeargH!!! all it did was open up bright again. Does it change the bmp files in the bright folder or is the output somewhere else?
Okay what should happen when I click on bright_cfg.bat?

Uhm you must press the bat to convert (not the exe) and the files will be in the same directory as pcx

2. correct the image name in the bright .bat if you want convert more then one picture with the same pallete put after the imagename an * .bmp or ****.bmp i can't remember try both

3 save the .bat

4 double klick on the bat now they convert fine ;)
