I have commenced development on textures for the SB Yali.  It will (hopefully) be used in Attempted Suicides, if mikhael agrees to it.

I know, its not as good as the one done by LtNarol, but I gotta say, the end product should come pretty close. :7

It shouldn't, by the way, look like a Shivan Medusa, that's just how it came out. It started with me making a bomber variant of the Naga and it just kinda rolled from there.

well, it does tlook like it to me ( but for the record, the medusa is my favourite FS/FS2 terran design, so it's not a bad thing )
The main hull ( mesh) could use more work ( more details ), I think.

Regardless, the model belongs to mik; it is also 158th policy that no 158th material be publicly released prior to that material's official release as part of our campaign.  Being former 158th staff, you should be well aware of this fact and it would be most appreciated if you would respect that policy.

With all this opposition, I will NOT release the model.  But nonetheless, my version WILL be used in AS.

Going back to the textures, one can obviously see that ships from the 158th detracted from original Freespace 2 texturing conventions.  That's why I quit; I was unable to create maps that matched the 158th style.  I would always stick to conventional Volition styles.

Anyway, I have completed the first LOD for my version of the Yali.  It's obviously not as good as LtNarol's version, but its beautiful... in its own way.

If you dislike the white glows, I have a map that excludes them.

As for your Rampage's clone of the Yali, I don't like it. The original is 10 times better.

Better or Worse, Rampage, you should at least name it something else, rather than rip/scum up the Yali name.
