I am just curious what program do you prefer. Nothing in conjuction between my project and this thread. I am just curious. Write down the reason why do you prefer that one you have voted for.

My choice is all the way the original FS, because it doesn't quit every time I try to click on something with the mouse :)

fs2_open because I've never had any trouble with it.

Didn't we have another one of these like a few weeks ago?

I think not, something LIKE this, yes, I remember, but that one was not exactly this. I hope: [/b]

How could it be LIKE this...but not this...Sure, the poll options could have said something different.:doubt:

Not like anybody cares if this has been posted before, we'll see all your polls in a few months again anyway.:D

Hmmmmm.... difficult to say, FS2 vanilla is reliable, true, but the graphics looks dated and the limitations of the Engine can be a pain sometimes.
FS2_Open looks and plays better, but can be unreliable and buggy, but this is because it is a work in progress.

Can we really compare a finished piece to an ongoing work?

Personally, my money is on SCP, not because of what it is for some people, but for what it might be for everyone.

SCP for decent fighter beams and glowmaps alone! :D

FS2 open without a doubt. If you get the right build it can be very stable. If you insist on using a Beta build you're going to get stabilty problems.

As for why I like it better, simply cause FREDding is easier for FS2_open. :D

I've just noticed that on the poll, it gives the percentage of votes for, against, and then it helpfully tells you that all of them added together make 100%

I noticed it after the very first poll I have seen here.

I've been using on of Phreaks builds for a couple of months and never had a single problem with it. I doubt it's still around but it goes to show that there are stable builds.
Hopefully 3.6 will prove to be stable but if you insist on using beta versions you should expect beta stability.

I downloaded 3.6 from the sticky thread at SCP. It didn't work at all. :(

have you run the launcher?

we realy need to do something about that damned registry thing

try the specular or cellshadeing build, it will tell you if your problem is being caused by the registry
