Is there a handy reference for general ship class sizes for the three races? I'm particularly interested in Vasudan Corvette class ships, but I'm suspecting I'll need all of them at one point or another.

Oh, and what precisely designates a corvette a 'corvette'? I'm used to Iwar, where a Corvette is pretty much just a class or two above a fighter, and about two class, maybe two, below a destroyer.

its classified as stronger then a cruiser but not powerful enough for a destroyer, it also usually tends not to have a hangerbay, and not very manuverable

Also, I-War cruisers are different from FS2 cruisers. Strangely, in FS2 true capital ship sizes go from: Cruisers -> Corvettes -> Destroyers, then bigger ships like the Colossus and Sathanas. Custom campagins have more, of course. I believe a Danube would be similar in size to a FS2 destroyer, but I'm not sure.
Long time ago, you see, there was this thing called the VBB and... oh, nevermind.

Not exactly. No I-War ship is much larger then 1 km. So I-War cruisers would probably be FS2 corvettes.

Ah! That's a comparison that helps me.   Thank you.

1.5 km. Still nothing compared to a FS2 destroyer.

I measured the length of a Deimos with about 700 meters, that of a Sobek with about 600.

technically, it should be corvette--->frigate--->destroyer--->carrier--->cruiser

but if fs2, a cruiser is just a few up from a freighter or transport, a corvette is about as tough as a destroyer but smaller (still bigger than cruisers) with more firepower then cruisers but less speed, very maneuverable still.  Destroyers are the big mommas in fs2, biggest conventional ships, carry aprox. 100 fighters each, 6 squadrons.  lots of wallop, beams and flak all around, but slow.  Last, you have the nonconventional ships, like the GTVA Colossus, the GTVA Golgatha (spl), or the GTXD-01 Excalibur.  These are larger, some more so than others.  For the most part, they pack lots of firepower, even for their size.
