Probably a stupid question
But if the Ancients had such powerful weapons and ships, why was it that they were obliterated by the Shivans?
"The reason for this is that the original Fortran got so convoluted and extensive (10's of millions of lines of code) that no-one can actually figure out how it works, there's a massive project going on to decode the original Fortran and write a more modern system, but until then, the UK communication network is actually relying heavily on 35 year old Fortran that nobody understands." - Flipside

Because the Ancients had far worse weapon technology 8000 years ago.

That explains it. Btw, when do you think chapter 2 will be completed?

3DS Max, Vitualdub and windows sound recorder

The intro took me 1 week to learn how to do it, then about 4 hours to render it.

There's 5 cutscenes planned 1 intro, 2 in campaign and 2 endings. The cutscenes are for a combined ch1 and 2 campaign file.

Uh... why? This is freespace. There's nothing like that in the game.

Well, MindGames also has cutscenes. Glad to see someone else is making them too (not forgetting LM).
