Exits are to the sides and rear. Personal flamethrowers are located beneath your seat in case of emergency or naughty disposition. If you run into any Shivans while crawling through the ductwork, it's probably just Carl. Give him your lunch, back away slowly, and you'll be fine.

Meson bombs are just that: bombs. They are intended for one time use. Ships are not. The cost of Meson bombs will add up rather quickly.

ok we need to go back to the old

The new one is just a little too obvious.  That's the third newby I've seen take it as what it really is.  Not that the render's bad, but in conjunction with the obligatory welcome post it really is just a bit much.  A little like those worthless "picture for a stupid saying" things that woolie was posting up here the other day in that it's way bigger than it has to be.

First you have a targeting failure but you still scream "OPEN FIRE!"

Of course... I mean, with that many beams, you're bound to hit something, and explosions make the only really decent screenies.

The ship would destroy itsself before it could fire them all at once... :p Unless these beams are very low power beams the output will most likely fry the internal compartments of the ship.

I have to admit, it'd be pretty funny to watch the crew spontaneously combust the moment they triggered the cannons.

i've always thought one of those cruisers must have only 3 rooms in the first place, all those beams , just a few meters away from your captains head while you're firing...

oh, and you guys have officially hijacked my thread
