when I attempt to convert my TS4.3 model to POF, using PCS, I get the following "fatal error" :
PolyGon Points >20

anyone seen this before ?
my model has 385 vertices and 301 faces if that helps.

realises he's posted to the wrong thread but can't delete!

I have this one often. Save a backup of your model, and do a change: Sweep, or object union, insertion etc.
It helped me. Once ;)

actually, if i try to perform any bolean operation on the fighter main body TS freezes.
is this related ?
oh, and, what's a PolyGon point ?!!

Yeah. I think I recognise this one. PCS is giving up cause you have a polygon on your model with more than 20 vertices. This is fairly simply cured by using the polygon draw tool to split the polygon into a couple of smaller ones.

I think TopAce was bored last night....:p

my model has a "wing span" of 15 meters mad up of two objects !
I recgon it's them.
Time for a re-think.:rolleyes:

Petrarch gave me a permit to do stuff like that. As for me being off topic, I was replying to your own question, it. the WTF smiley.

I came in to this thread with the intention of helping this megatsu fellow with his problem had kara not done so already. I managed to resist the urge to comment on your three pointless posts up until you posted that smiley.

Now as for nine tenths of my posts being offensive, how so? You may feel that I pick on you perhaps, but believe me I approach every member of this board equally. Admitedly, I seem to have 'gotten worse' since an0n and Stryke left, but there you go - nature abhors a vacuum :)

Finally, note how I didn't quote your post. It was quite obvious that I was replying to you, so there was no need to quote it. I know it's a small thing, but it's quite annoying and makes people that do it look a bit simple. The end.

No need for a rethink. All you have to do is split the offending polygon(s) in two using the polygon draw tool.

Have a look at what he does to those models. You only need to find the polygon that has 20 verts and do something similar with the polygon draw tool.

so can I use Poly draw to alter an object ?

The more you use TS the more useful you'll find Polygon draw. You click on the button select a vertex and then draw a line to another vertex on the same face. The poly they is split into two polys.

You'll find the tool very useful when you try out a model in TS and find you have holes you can see through or textures that move around.
