KT's slightly worrying personal habits aside, why is it that you TEH DAWN OF TEH APOCALYPSE fellows insist on showing us absolutely everything before we're played the campaign? I mean... what's left for suprises now, ship-wise?

Well it ain't like we haven't seen each of them a million times before. Except the grey dildo one in the front.. neva' seen that one.

Just think of it as a plague a flashy toads that hop around and croak a lot with beam canons, as opposed to a project. There's no stopping it, just dissect it for biology when it's ready.

That are not all new ships that are only the ships they are almost done ;)

sorry.. I was eating bacon. Hehe, bacon should be a drug.

What I think I was trying to say is that they (being Trash and Terran) don't really listen to us or (partially) each other, so just let them do their thing, you aren't really going to be able to stop them.

And didn't Inferno do the exact same thing by showing all of their ships before release? Yeah, they didn't make (obnoxious at times) threads about everytime they made a new piece of interface art or retextured a fighter, but that's because they have their own forum hosted here...

These are not all DOTA ships.
These are the ships form which we have working versions...
You've seen most of them anyway... and the pic is to show just how much ships DOTA will have (and their relative size)... Anyway...we have twice this many ships in the works....and these are mostly version which we will not use - we are working on better textured/balanced versions...

I'm a freakin perfectionist.

P.S. - the long grey one in the ron is the Majestic - a civilian luxury liner (featured in Into the Depths of Hell)

Oh I appreciate that, and indeed it's kind of amusing to watch them beavering away on this thing. No doubt when DOTA is released they'll get recognition and praise they deserve for their work :)

At least the people get to see that I am actually doing something!

Every ship on that pic was made 100% by ME ALONE
(except the Lancer and the Cobra, alltough the conversion did such a mess of things that I spent more time on them then on several other ships combined...)

I'm allso doing weapons, effects, and practicly a little bit of everything else..
Due to the fact that I allso work on several other campaigns as well, + I'm making a campaign for WAR3, making my own module for NWN.....:D

Lots'a work...

A couple of those designs are gevettar_lars' models. I recognise them!

And there's one that they've got working which I wanted to use in The Swarm War as a pirate carrier, but it's got all these flipped faces which I can't fix......:(:sigh:

Unless Free Terran or Trashman is feeling particularly charitable!

The Swarm War won't be out for ages, and this will though....

Yes, The Cobra and the Lancer are originaly Gevettar_lars models. He made them in 3D Max, but screwed the geomety totaly (FS2 is VERY sensitive...). After much work I managed to fix the Cobra and now it works perfectly.... but the Lancer was too far gone... I couldn't save him.. There are faces that cross into each other and that shows in FS2....really bad.....
It will have to be done completely from scratch...:(

Yeah...It took me 3 hours to fix those flipped faces... but wat ship did you exactly mean?

The one I'm referring to is above and to the left of Alpha 1's engines! It looks sort of......green! :D

That was the one I was going to use as it fits in very nicely with the setting. I'm using a few of GL's models myself as pirate and civilian vessels because they lend themselves so well to them!

There are two reasons I don't show RR ships.
1. Your post above, I want to leave them a surprise
2. They are not ready completely ;)

Yes...that is the lancer...I have a working version of it, but the clipping with a several faces I couldn't fix....
I can send you that version, alltough there PROBABLY will be a brand new one.... I'm in no mood to do that ship from scratch right now..;7
