Alright,

I know I've been gone for a while, and maybe this is a dumb idea or someone has already thought of it... at least doing this gets some of the rust off for me.

So, the concept here is a 2 man gunship... about twice as big as a regular fighter (or 4 times the volume.) Its loaded with missiles and guns, and two turrets, front and back. Packs a hell of a punch, maneuvers like a bomber, can probably take down small cap ships by itself (with a bit of cover support.) I made a concept model and drawing... let  me know if anyone wants to do anything with it.

LOL I think it looks pretty good, though I'd say hard-mount the side guns, dont have them on 'stalks' it looks like they might break if you loaded them up with Maxims
It'd be good to see a textured version of it, since lighting never ever seems to look right on a Grey-shade model
Other than that, looks like a perfectly good concept to me

alright, the idea is cool, but IMO the mesh isn't so good. With the FS2 scaling of cockpits, that thing is tiny. When I think of gunships, I think of large missile-toting things with turrets. From your description, we seem to agree on that, however that ship is midgity. It's smaller than a myrmidon or a loki.

For some reason that didn't occur to me...

the mesh wasnt SUPPOSED to be good, really it was so I could have a 3D image to draw a pic from

I know some of those great hi-poly modelers out there could do a great job with it.

I second that.

GUNSHIP: largest stirke craft around, 2-3 times the size of a normal fighter, many guns and missiles controlled by pilot, several turrets equipped with fighter guns/missiles.
